Telluride Science & Innovation Center was all about finding the overlap between restoration and reinvention—historic structure, upgraded purpose. We kept the bones of the old Depot intact but stripped back what wasn’t working and layered in a new program for science, gathering, and community. Clean interiors, natural light, and flexible classrooms sit behind a preserved facade, while new patios and terraces open the building to the river and town. Materials are simple wood, glass, and steel with pops of color for energy. The result: a project that respects its place but pushes it forward.
