Who is Salt?
Salt Architect is a architecture firm based in Santa Barbara, California.
We’re a small studio by choice. That scale lets us stay close to the work and closer to the people we’re building it for. Led by Dylan Henderson, Salt Architecture is a tight-knit group of experienced, down-to-earth professionals. Between us, we’ve worked across California, Colorado, New York, and beyond—but Santa Barbara is home. We value clarity, trust, and relationships that last well past the final walk-through.
We build spaces that feel rooted, enduring, and thoughtful. Whether we’re working from the ground up or shaping what’s already there, our goal is the same: clear, lasting design that feels good to live with. Each project gets a fresh lens—new ideas, careful thinking, and a commitment to quality through every phase. The end result should feel quiet but strong. Built to last, built for how people actually live.
