Santa Barbara Canyon View

About this Project

Set into the hillside with quiet confidence, this home blends low-slung massing, clean steel detailing, and a mix of plaster and stone that feels both grounded and easy. The roofline skims the horizon, sliding out over steel and glass to pull in the coastline and hold the edge of the landscape without fuss. A separate pool structure drops down off the main level, crisp and sculptural against the softness of the garden—corten fascia, steel doors, poured concrete, done simply and well. Inside, it’s all dark floors, expressive timber, and plaster walls that hold the light; materials are dialed, not decorative. Built-ins, layered seating, rich textures all compliment the overall aesthetic.
